Welcome to FitnessBug-a blog about nutrition, health and fitness. My name is Mark Janus and write FitnessBug in my spare time. I’ve been passionate about fitness and nutrition for nearly a decade. I’ve never considered myself an athlete. I didn’t play sports in high school or college; however, I’ve been exercising off and on since the late 90’s. I was reading all the fitness magazines and finally came to the conclusion that there is way too much BS being written about fitness and nutrition. It is very easy to get overwhelmed and totally confused due to the mass of conflicting information floating around.
My goal for this site is to create a place for people to come and learn about fitness and nutrition without worrying about being sold the next body shaping widget or miracle pill for fat loss. The theme throughout FitnessBug will be to focus on the fundamentals of fitness and nutrition and not the “pop” culture of what’s “in” this year. FitnessBug is dedicated to helping people learn about fitness and nutrition. It’s sort of a virtual personal trainer and a reference book rolled into one.
